The Cotton Candy Revival
Why cotton candy in a frosty martini glass?
Cotton candy is awesome. We all love it! We sat down and brainstormed collectively about the direction we wanted to take our drink menu. So, we crafted, researched and developed cock-tails that we would want to drink. And we want you to enjoy the martini experience here at TCO.
We have mastered a tequila daiquiri served with a cotton candy garnish. We call it The Curtis Street Daiquiri.
Most of us remember cotton candy from childhood in an amuse-ment park or a sports game, as this sweet treat that melts in your mouth and all you want is more of it and all of it before your par-ents take it away.
Even, the most distinguished palettes who prefer bourbon and/or scotch see the cotton candy and cannot resist trying this drink.
I’ll walk you though building the cocktail.
Add all ingredients in mixing tin.
2 oz of Olmeca Altos Plata Tequila
.25 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
.5 oz fresh squeezed Lime Juice
.5 fresh squeezed Grapefruit Juice
Add ice to mixing tin. Shake double strain into a carafe. Chill the martini glass when you begin building the cocktail.
Use a generous amount of cotton candy in the martini glass, as it acts as the sweeter in the cocktail. Pour contents of the carafe into the martini glass over the cotton candy. Stir and enjoy!
Come see us at TCO. Until next time. Craft. Sip. Be Happy.
