Beat The Heat
In normal Denver fashion when we do anything we do it to the extreme. Currently the weather has gone to the extreme, with a serious heat wave! Daily highs of 100 degrees are becoming our normal instead of the usual 85. It is HOT, and everyone is looking for a way to beat the heat. Some have taken to hiking a 14ner in the mountains, while others have fled to a lake in hopes the water is a bit chillier than “bath water.” But what do you do when you live a little closer to the sun??? You cool off with a drink! So Andy Owens, our Beverage Director, created a tasty beverage to assist in your efforts (and his efforts) to chill, chill out, & chill-ax. The result was the Full Moon(shine) Clever. With a mix of Moonshine, Disaronno Amaretto, and Lemon stirred and served on the rocks, this drink is ready to help you take that body temperature down a couple of notches. Careful with the rate of consumption of this bad boy. Moonshine, known as the White Whiskey, is a bit of a doozy. A couple of these and you will not only cool off, but you might forget it’s hot outside!
